Sutton Hoo,Suffolk UK

Sutton Hoo, near Woodbridge (Suffolk, UK), is an archaeological site where Anglo-Saxon were unearthed in 1939 a cemetery and a funeral boat from the early seventh century.      

   

                                                                                              His age, his size, its richness, beauty, rarity and historical importance make Sutton Hoo one of the greatest archaeological finds in England. The site provides insight into a period of the High Middle Ages English hitherto poor in documents or things as boat-falls contains a large number of artifacts.Details on helmets are reconstructed.
